Introducing Rosetta (of Pixie Hollow fame) and Captain America. I’m a tad late to the party, but mom’s been a wee bit busy over here. :)

As I sit here contemplating oil spill and 100 degree temperatures in June, I am reminded of a special evening not long a go, when the air was still crisp, but held with it a hope of sunshine of the season to come. Inspired by this promise of warm, lazy days, we grabbed our bug catchers and embarked on a spur-of-the-moment-after-dinner-nature-expedition. And then magic happened.

We went down to visit my Aunt BB who lives in Brenham the first week in December. BB decided to surprise Jon David with a crazy fun birthday party! My clever aunt hired a crazy talented balloon making face painting magician of a clown for the event and we were set to make 5 year old party history. We had some friends that were supposed to come up from Houston and help JD celebrate, but the crazy snow storm of 2009 hit Houston that weekend and no one could make the trip! So there Eleanor and Jon David were with this awesome party all to themselves. They LOVED IT!!
JD wasn’t too sure about the face painting thing. So, we told him he could open one present if he’d then agree to get his face painted. Worked like a charm!

Waiting patiently to untie the gazillion wires from his new Buzz Lightyear.

Bat Jon David.
And some playtime with our new friend…

Eleanor fared pretty well in with all the festivities as well!
Balloon time!

This is what a magic show for two looks like.
Cake time!
And we wound up the festivites with an impromtu dual.
And, there you go little blog and thank you to Aunt BB for the unforgetable Birthday Pary! Next up…the Christmas Stroll!
Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays with their friends and family! MWAH!

Where, oh where has this year gone? It can’t possibly really actually be October 1st. But, with the days are getting shorter and my calendar is getting fuller and fuller it indeed must be!
I wanted to update booking status for holiday sessions. Mini Sessions are completely filled except for the 8:30 and 9am spots! I am looking forward to seeing everyone on the 10th. I love how mini sessions bring such a mix of new and past clients!
Standard sessions (which, remember, include a set of 24 holiday cards during October) are quickly filling up, so if you are wanting a session for the holidays, it’s best to contact me earlier rather than later… I want to be able to fit everyone in! My first spot available is the week of October 25th. Our official deadlines for timely holiday arrival of orders is as follows:
Last Session Date: November 7
Last Order Date: November 20th
Our office holidays are:
Thanksgiving: November 23rd – 29th
Chirstmas/New Year: December 16th – January 8th (with the exception of our newborns).
During holidays, you can still reach us via phone or email. Leave a message and we’ll get right back to you!
And, for further proof that it is, indeed, October, a conspicuous box arrived on our doorstep this week.
Much hullabaloo ensued.
Annnnd….check back tomorrow for a session sneak peek. I’ll give you a hint, she’s very small and very new. Until then, MWAH!
