The anticipation has been building for a while now, and I’m excited to finally announce that Courtney Leigh Photography is closing its doors…and is now Sugarspun Photography!  Yep!  After four years as Courtney Leigh, I’ve decided to move in a direction that was more representative of my work, my clients and the future of my business.  I couldn’t be more thrilled about this new chapter!

Making a big change like this has been no small task, though, and I still don’t have every  little detail worked out yet, so please bear with me!  Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be transitioning everything over to the new site, etc.  I can still be reached via the same email and phone numbers, should any confusion arise.

With the new name, we have a new website, a new blog, a fun new referral plan,  some new products and a few other little changes here and there, but mostly, it will be the same candid, lifestyle images of children that we have become known for, just with a new spin!

I have a soft spot in my heart for spring.  Longer days, warmer weather, tiny green leaves sprouting on branches.  It’s a comforting feeling to know we’ve survived another winter.  Baseball is one of my  harbingers of spring.  A beacon in the cold, bleak days of March Madness.   Jon David signed up for T-Ball this year and they started practicing last week.  We had an unseasonably warm evening with beautiful light and it did my heart good to capture these images of a boy and his first t-ball team.  I think he’s a natural.  Oh, and now I’m officially ready for spring!

Ohhhh…I’d kind of forgotten the excitement in the air right before the arrival of your new baby.  It hasn’t been THAT long, really, but these two made me remember how special those few months really are in your life (don’t worry, Gigi, I’m not getting any ideas ) The wonder and anticipation of changing your family forever.  It’s pretty amazing.
