{newborn piggies} Dallas Fort Worth Newborn Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

An ode to the newborn feet.  If I could specialize in one thing, it would be the crusty, curly, wrinkly little piggies of the newborn.  Can’t get enough.

See what I mean?!

If you’re in Dallas Fort Worth, snuggle up with your family and enjoy this white stuff falling from the sky!  And keep those sweet piggies warm!

Continuing in my commitment to blog everyday until 2010…let’s proceed with our trip to the little town of Brenham.  Brenham is one of those rare places that is happy just being who it is, which I’m all about, so we get along great.  We were down there the weekend of the Christmas Stroll and Parade, which meant that we were in for a treat.  The kids were asked if they actually wanted to be IN the parade.  Whoa!  This was big time!  Have YOU ever been in a parade?  I’m not sure, but I think I’d remember if I had!

After Jon David’s fiesta, we made our way downtown.   Aunt BB treated Jon David and Eleanor to some fresh kettle corn.  It was a hit!  A little bit of trivia, the last building on the right hand side of the street in the background is the Ant Street Inn, which happens to be where we is where we held our wedding reception!  (and if you happened to have been there that night, you know how fantastic it was! :D)

The staging area.  I don’t think there’s a kid in down who doesn’t ride on some kind or another of a  float!

Waiting oh, so patiently.  Ha!

We went down to visit my Aunt BB who lives in Brenham the first week in December.  BB decided to surprise Jon David with a crazy fun birthday party!  My clever aunt hired a crazy talented balloon making face painting magician of a clown for the event and we were set to make 5 year old party history.  We had some friends that were supposed to come up from Houston and help JD celebrate, but the crazy snow storm of 2009 hit Houston that weekend and no one could make the trip!  So there Eleanor and Jon David were with this awesome party all to themselves.  They LOVED IT!!

JD wasn’t too sure about the face painting thing.  So, we told him he could open one present if he’d then agree to get his face painted.  Worked like a charm!

Waiting patiently to untie the gazillion wires from his new Buzz Lightyear.

{White Christmas!} Dallas Fort Worth Children’s Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

We were blessed with a Christmas snow here in North Texas this year!  I’m sure I’m not the only one who can say this was my first ever White Christmas!  What fun we had, too!  I thought I’d share a few from the backyard snow adventures first.  I’ll post some Christmas ones for friends and family (and blog readers!) in the next few days.   Until then, everyone enjoy your holidays and hug your family!  Merry Christmas!blog2-122609.jpg

It never ceases to amaze me how much growth can occur between the newborn and three month session.  It’s absoulutely incredible.  In 90 days they change from dormant bundles of cuteness to alert and attentive bundels of cuteness.  The cuteness doesn’t change much!

Last week I had my last baby planners of 2009 stop by for a visit.  It was so great to see them again and get to chat about their first Christmas as a new family.  So many firsts that first year!

As this is the last session of 2009, we will be officially closed from now until January 14th.  All emails and calls will be returned when we return on the 14th.  Thank you for your patience and we at CLP wish everyone a wonderful holiday and new year.  Even though we’re officially closed for business, I will be posting some holiday images from time to time, so be sure and check back on us!

And, here they are, the official final images from 2009…the precious Miss M!

We were awoken this morning to the soft hush of gently falling snow.  To say we were shocked is an understatement!  It didn’t last long, lbut we took advantage of the fun while we could…and we may or may not have been five minutes late to school due to our revelry! My poor blog has been woefully neglected and I do apologize…’tis the season!  I’m happy to say that all holiday orders will be out the door by this time tomorrow, so keep your eyes open for the box from CLP!  While the holiday orders may be wrapping up, I still have baby planners and holiday festivities planned for the next six weeks, so don’t think  I will forsake you for holiday merriment… check back in for some fun client sessions and small glimpses into our family fun! And, I would be remiss to post without a pic…here’s miss e, catching snowflakes on her tongue.  Guess what “all she wants for Christmas” is?!blog120209.jpg
