{generations} Dallas Fort Worth Family Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

After this wonderful holiday session I had with Little B and his family last week, his mom called me with a fantastic idea!  The entire extended family (3 generations worth!) was coming in town for B’s birthday and wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could do a generations sessions with the whole family?  I thought it was a great idea, too, and we were so blessed that my schedule magically rearranged itself to make everything possible…dispite swine flus in both B and CLP’s homes!  It was just meant to be!

 I’m so glad that everything worked out because these are the kinds of sessions that we should truly treasure.  It doesn’t get any more beautiful than family!

{Family Fun} Dallas Child & Family Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

You see this precious cutie pie?   He’s not only adorable and about-to-be four years old, but he is the apple of his family’s eye.  His big brother even drove all the way from Oklahoma, on Texas-OU weekend no less, to help celebrate the birthday photo shoot!  That’s some kind of love, I tell ya!

 I had a wonderful time with Master B and his fun loving family this morning.  I know mom was just a teeney bit worried if we got anything good, and, though I assured her it was a great session, I had to put her sneak peek up as fast as I could to put her mind at ease.  Don’t you think she can breath a sigh of relief now?!  Ahhhhh………

{holiday minis 2009} Dallas Fort Worth Child & Baby Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

The day finally arrived!  Yesterday morning was the Courtney Leigh Photography Holiday Mini Event.  It was so great to see so many familiar faces and see how everyone had grown so much since last year!  I defintely have the cutest clients in the Metroplex!

And finally, the prize shot of the day.  Three boys, ages three and under - eye contact from two out of three.  Score.  I’m still in shock!

{She Makes Me Grin} Dallas Fort Worth Children Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

Oh, the bittersweet feelings when a Baby Planner graduates.  It’s so fun to watch them as they grow so quickly that first year.  Every session is like a completely different baby…kind of.  There’s always qualities about them that I can track back to our first meeting at their newborn session, and I love that, too.Miss A has had me wrapped around her finger since I first shot her newborn session last year.   That hair.  Those lashes.  And now, that SMILE!  We had a great time meeting up for an outdoor lifestyle session this  week.  One year olds typically have their own agenda, so I just follow them and let it roll.  They never disappoint and neither did Miss A!blog-100609.jpgblog3-100609.jpgblog4-100609.jpgblog6-100609.jpgblog7-100609.jpgblog12-100609.jpgblog14-100609.jpgHappy Birthday, Miss A, and thanks for a fantastic session!  MWAH!

{Holiday Updates} Dallas Fort Worth Childhood Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

Where, oh where has this year gone?  It can’t possibly really actually be October 1st.  But, with the days are getting shorter and my calendar is getting fuller and fuller it indeed must be! 

I wanted to update booking status for holiday sessions.  Mini Sessions are completely filled except for the 8:30 and 9am spots!  I am looking forward to seeing everyone on the 10th.  I love how mini sessions bring such a mix of new and past clients!

 Standard sessions (which, remember, include a set of 24 holiday cards during October) are quickly filling up, so if you are wanting a session for the holidays, it’s best to contact me earlier rather than later… I want to be able to fit everyone in!   My first spot available is the week of October 25th.  Our official deadlines for timely holiday arrival of orders is as follows:

Last Session Date:  November 7

Last Order Date: November 20th

Our office holidays are: 

Thanksgiving: November 23rd - 29th

Chirstmas/New Year: December 16th - January 8th  (with the exception of our newborns). 

 During holidays, you can still reach us via phone or email.  Leave a message and we’ll get right back to you!

And, for further proof that it is, indeed, October, a conspicuous box arrived on our doorstep this week.
