{Kindred Spirits} Dallas Fort Worth Children Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

If you are a regular reader of the Courtney Leigh blog, you know that Saturday morning lifestyle sessions are one of my very favorite.  I love getting to know my families in their own environment.  I love how excited the kids are to show me their rooms and their favorite toys.  I adore the relaxed pace and how it truly does feel like a “play date” with my new friends.  I feel like images from these sessions truly exude the family’s personality and capture what their life is like at this very moment.And that’s what it’s all about, right?This Saturday morning’s family really “got it” and I loved that about them!  Relaxed, down-to-earth, and ready to be themselves.  We were kindred spirits, indeed!We kicked off the morning with a good read of  “Kissing Hand” by Audrey Penn, one of my own personal favorites.092209blog1-1.jpgA bit of tickle time….img_4512.jpgThen off to Sir S’s room to show me ALL his superheros!  (Captain America was his favorite.)092209blog1.jpgFor a kindergartner, S is quite the accomplished reader!092209blog5.jpgThen we headed outside to play on his *awesome* jungle gym.092209blog6.jpgA little playtime with Mom and Dad….092209blog6-1.jpgAnd we finished it off with a visit from a new friend!092209blog7.jpg Thank you T family for a fantastics Saturday morning!  It was a pleasure to finally meet you and I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!MWAH!

{sweet dreams} Dallas Fort Worth Newborn Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

 I have been so blessed lately with a fantastic summer of newborn!  I love how every session is so different depending on the family, their home, their style and decor.  It always keeps me on my toes and I love the challenge of incorporating parts of the family’s life into the sessions.Saturday morning’s session was so much fun!  Not only was Miss S the perfect little model, but her mommy and I definitely are on the same page of the style book.  And, given the look of her new digs,  I have a feeling little S won’t fall far from that tree!dreams.jpgclary0909-50bw.jpgclary0909-99.jpgorange.jpgclary0909-165.jpgIsn’t she the sweetest?Thank you guys for letting me crash your labor day weekend!  I enjoyed meeting the whole family and your newest member is beautiful!MWAH!

{Baby Bliss II} Dallas Fort Worth Newborn Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

{As promised, here is Part II of Baby K’s newborn Sneak Peek…}

Baby K is the first of TWO newborn girls that I was lucky enough to spend a few hours with this week!  Her parents were so excited about their brand new family and starting their incredible journey of parenthood.  I adore the first few days after you get are home from the hospital.   Everything seems so surreal…so blissful.     It’s such a miraculous and fleeting time and I feel so honored to be a part of it!

Baby K was just beautiful!  So sweet and certainly ready for her close-up!
