Remember that one Easter where it wasn’t “Eastery” at all? The one where the Easter Bunny had to hide the eggs INSIDE the house because it was rainy and cold and then your mother ruined everything by making you wear pants under your Easter Dress? (or was that last part just mine?!) Well, we had one of those Easters this year here in North Texas. It was so very yucky all day, but we made due and had family over for a wonderful, fun dinner. Eleanor and Jon David were thrilled to get to play with their cousin Jack and show him all their fun toys and movies.
After a day of fun (albeit, stuck inside fun), we were packing up for everyone to leave and the sun just peaked between the clouds for about 10 minutes. The kids ran and got the bubbles the easter bunny had brought and had an impromtu bubble party. Anyone who knows my kids knows how absolutely crazy they are about bubbles. Well, turns out, their cousin Jack is just as passionate about the soapy goodness. They ran and chased and had a great time in the beautiful ray of sun. You would have never known that the Easter Bunny had hid the eggs INSIDE because it was too nasty for bunnies to be hiding outdoors. I love how a child’s day can be completely redeemed with a little sunshine and a bottle of soap!
{warning - prepare for bubble pictures overload! i couldn’t stop myself!}

{ETA -I wish there was some magic brush in photoshop that could brush 5 year old girls’ hair! Why is it always a mess?!}

You know, Baby Jack held his own this time with Eleanor and Jon David, but sometimes, I think he’s still not sure he is related to his two wild and crazy cousins!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and is enjoying a relaxing Saturday! MWAH!
