What a fantastic time I had on Sunday.  Getting to see old clients whos families have grown and meeting precious new families on their first session with CLP.  It was a perfect way to spend a beautiful Sunday morning in Dallas.  And oh, boy did we have some cuties!  We were show stoppers that morning, I tell you!  Here are just a couple of the many, many keepers we managed to snag in such a quick amount of time.  Could they get any more adorable?!

Thank you to all the beautiful families for spending your Sunday with CLP.  Have a wonderful week!  Enjoy your sneak peek!  MWAH!

Easter Bubbles

Remember that one Easter where it wasn’t “Eastery” at all?  The one where the Easter Bunny had to hide the eggs INSIDE the house because it was rainy and cold and then your mother ruined everything by making you wear pants under your Easter Dress? (or was that last part just mine?!)  Well, we had one of those Easters this year here in North Texas.  It was so very yucky all day, but we made due and had family over for a wonderful, fun dinner.   Eleanor and Jon David were thrilled to get to play with their cousin Jack and show him all their fun toys and movies.

After a day of fun (albeit, stuck inside fun), we were packing up for everyone to leave and the sun just peaked between the clouds for about 10 minutes.  The kids ran and got the bubbles the easter bunny had brought and had an impromtu bubble party.   Anyone who knows my kids knows how absolutely crazy they are about bubbles.  Well, turns out, their cousin Jack is just as passionate about the soapy goodness.  They ran and chased and had a great time in the beautiful ray of sun.  You would have never known that the Easter Bunny had hid the eggs INSIDE because it was too nasty for bunnies to be hiding outdoors.   I love how a child’s day can be completely redeemed with a little sunshine and a bottle of soap!

{warning - prepare for bubble pictures overload!  i couldn’t stop myself!}

{ETA -I wish there was some magic brush in photoshop that could brush 5 year old girls’ hair!  Why is it always a mess?!}

You know, Baby Jack held his own this time with Eleanor and Jon David, but sometimes, I think he’s still not sure he is related to his two wild and crazy cousins!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and is enjoying a relaxing Saturday!  MWAH!

{Greetings from the House of Germs!} Dallas Child Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

Well, the bug that we’ve been trading back and forth around here has finally got all of us down.  It’s been a stay-in-your-jammies-lay-in-bed-and-eat-easter-candy kind of day.  Which, I must admit, wasn’t entirely a bad thing!   I’ll get back on the ball tomorrow when everyone is feeling better and in their proper places (i.e. not my lap!), so if you’re waiting to hear from me, you may have to wait a few more hours.  Duty calls!

Despite not feeling up to par,  Eleanor decided that she would help mommy and make some soup…she’s such the little Martha!  I have to tell you, it was some darn good bean soup!

{Baby F Part2} Dallas Fort Worth Lifestyle Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

Part 2 of the session I started blogging here took place back at Baby F’s casa.  These are my favorite parts of every session.  Those small, seemingly insignificant games and songs you share with your baby everyday, the ones you think you’ll never forget, will soon be replaced with soccer practices and dance recitals.  And as I know so well, the memories do start to fade. Treasure them!

We practiced our walking skills, sang some rounds of “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and wrestled with F’s parent’s first baby, Miss Sadie, the Labrador Retriever.  Sadie is 11 this year and is so very sweet to Baby F.  The four of them make such a happy little family.

{Lifestyle Session} Dallas Child Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

Ohhh…it’s been a long day at CLP, but I wanted to share some more from my fabulous lifestyle session on Saturday.   I just know Little F’s mommy is itching to see some more!  I’m splitting this session’s sneak peek up into 3 parts because that’s how the session ended up.  We started at the park, then rode bikes, then played in the nursery and finished it off at the local coffee shop.  I session like this deserves more than one post, don’t you think!

I promise the next post will be full of the usual CLP wit and warmth, but I need to turn off the computer and get some cozy jammies on!  So, just pics tonight…and I must say…I think they’re all we need!

{Coming Soon} Dallas Family Photographer - Courtney Leigh Photography

I had a fantastic session this morning in Dallas with one of my favorite families.  They were up for anything and it was so much fun…playing in the park, riding bikes, going to the neighborhood coffee shop.  All the things you do when you’re one and as cool as Mr. F.

 I’ve got a hot date waiting to take me out to Blue Goose, but I wanted to post a preview of the sneak peek…something to give you an idea of just how amazing this session really was!  Check back over the next week and I’ll post more as I get them done.  Thank you Sir F and his mommy and daddy.  It was a beautiful session!  Here’s your sneak peek sneak peek.
