Mini Session Kick Off!

I met this morning for the first of MANY mini sessions this next two months. This is Miss S and her beautiful Mommy and Daddy. They were so fun and easy to work with (read “photographer’s dream!” ) But, their Miss S stole the show. She is seriously a doll. She wasn’t too sure about me at fist, but she warmed up by the end…prancing around in her bloomers! She’s got sass!

I really enjoyed meeting you guys this morning! Enjoy your quick sneak peek and I’ll get back with you guys at the beginning of next week to schedule your ordering session! And here we go….

To Infinity and Beyond!

So everyone knows that Eleanor is the princess and she loooves to dress up. Well, poor Jon David, he wants to play dress-up, too. But pink tulle just doesn’t really compliment his skin tones and he has a hard time walking in glass slippers, so this week, I did something about it. Jon David now has his very own Buzz and Superman costumes to add to the costume wardrobe. He thinks he is Star Command!

The Winners!

Summer Mini Series

Hi guys! A couple of announcements here at CLP!

First, I’m excited to announce that I will be offering a limited number of Summer Mini Sessions during the months of July and August. These will be shorter versions of my regular sessions and will include a smaller number of proofs. These are a perfect for recording the details from the Summer of 2008 and also a great way to sample a bit of what custom portraiture is like. Once you try it, I think you’ll be hooked! Contact CLP to find out more!

And, Second, I am very excited to announce that we have something brand new at CLP this week…can you guess what it is?
The first 3 people to email me at correctly tell me what we have that’s new will get win a FREE Summer Mini Session AND an 8×10 from the session! YES, I’m THAT EXCITED about this surprise!

CLP Update

June 9, 2008 – 2:14 pm

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks around here, to put it mildly! The kids are officially out of preeschool for the summer…and Eleanor has already discovered the phrase “I’m bored”! (oh, goody!). Then add to that their mommy (me!) came down with an evil virus that had me down and delerious for most of the week last week. Oh, and my computer flat out died (yes, again). (It’s in good hands at with my favorite Geek heros…Geek on Wheels in Denton…can’t say enough wonderful things about those guys!)

So, what I’m trying to say, is if you are waiting for something from your photog, have questions for your photog, or generally wondering what happened to your photog, I hope to be back on track and caught back up by the end of the week…without the kids managing to tear the house apart while I’m accomplishing this goal! If you have something pressing, please call or email me and I will put you at the top of the list! Thank you oh wonderful and patient CLP clients!

Generations Shoot

June 5, 2008 – 8:02 pm

This week I met with Little W and his grandpa for a grandad/gandson session…how cool is that?! And, this was shoot was even cooler for me because W is the son of one of my best friends from college. This, of course, makes his grandad my friend’s father…are you still with me?!

Back in school, when we’d had enough of small-town B/CS, we’d pack it up and head to Steph’s folks house in Big D. No matter how late we were out (or how late we slept!), Mr. H was always ready to fix our lazy-you-know-whats a pancake breakfast. Sitting in their kitchen with the girls, laughing, gossiping…laughing A LOT… over Mr. H’s pancakes is a special memory in my heart. Oh, and Mr. H will also remain a hero in my own Dad’s heart for the invention of “Credit Card Rehab”…. not quite as fun a memory! : )

So, now we’re older, hopefully wiser, and with kids of our own. Little W is going to be a big brother in July…so stay tuned for pics of his baby sis! So, here we go, W and Grandad’s Sneak Peak….enjoy!
