Look who’s on the move! I just love watching baby planners grow! We got to visit with Miss M last week and boy has she changed in 3 months. Crawling, babbling away and loving her new walker toy that she just HAD to show off for me!

I spent the morning with this sweetie pie last week and had so a blast! There’s a lot of personality in this little 19 month old and he gave it all he had! First we played in his room a bit and he showed me all his favorite toys…

and ended up with some fun with mom and dad at the park!

Sometimes sessions are just worth the wait. I lost count of how many times we re-scheduled Mr. C’s second year session, but everything finally came together this beautiful morning in the last week of March. He’s so big, but still, just a little dude. And, in another four weeks, a big brother. Those are some big boots to fill.

Loved these boys! Sweet, adorable and amazingly cooperative! Who could ask for anything more? This was supposed to be a session mainly for Baby C’s 6 month session, but with all these gorgeous boys, I couldn’t resist capturing them too! Thanks for weathering the weather, guys! It was definitely worth it!

In a shocking turn of events, the weather turned out gorgeous this weekend and so I got to meet with one of my favorite families for a morning in the sunshine! The family has grown since I last met with them, but I think the new addition looks quite lovely on them!
It was so great to see you guys again! I’m so proud of your little family and, from someone who did the “2 Under 2″ and lived to tell…you’re doing a fabulous job!!

Oh my goodness! Will winter ever end?! I’m doing my best to show it the door by posting our spring mini sessions a bit early this year! They were officially announced in our winter newsletter last month and have had an amazing response! (It must be the unanimous desire to make it springtime soon!) So, now it’s time to let those of you who are not on the mailing list get in on the mini session action. I always tell my clients to think of a session with Courtney Leigh Photography more like “playtime” than “picturetime” and this week’s session fit that bill perfectly! I had so much fun with this set of brothers and sister and their parents. We visited one of my favorite spots to shoot…it’s a little overgrown and you have to tiptoe a bit, but it makes for amazing session images! We just let Big Brother and Sister A & R and their little brother, F play and laugh and run and it all made for some amazing images!

You see this precious cutie pie? He’s not only adorable and about-to-be four years old, but he is the apple of his family’s eye. His big brother even drove all the way from Oklahoma, on Texas-OU weekend no less, to help celebrate the birthday photo shoot! That’s some kind of love, I tell ya!
I had a wonderful time with Master B and his fun loving family this morning. I know mom was just a teeney bit worried if we got anything good, and, though I assured her it was a great session, I had to put her sneak peek up as fast as I could to put her mind at ease. Don’t you think she can breath a sigh of relief now?! Ahhhhh………

The day finally arrived! Yesterday morning was the Courtney Leigh Photography Holiday Mini Event. It was so great to see so many familiar faces and see how everyone had grown so much since last year! I defintely have the cutest clients in the Metroplex!
And finally, the prize shot of the day. Three boys, ages three and under - eye contact from two out of three. Score. I’m still in shock!

Oh, the bittersweet feelings when a Baby Planner graduates. It’s so fun to watch them as they grow so quickly that first year. Every session is like a completely different baby…kind of. There’s always qualities about them that I can track back to our first meeting at their newborn session, and I love that, too.Miss A has had me wrapped around her finger since I first shot her newborn session last year. That hair. Those lashes. And now, that SMILE! We had a great time meeting up for an outdoor lifestyle session this week. One year olds typically have their own agenda, so I just follow them and let it roll. They never disappoint and neither did Miss A!
