Just a day. Just a day in the life with a 2 year old and 4 month old. A day just like any other day. A day with diapers and binkies and lovies and naps and ginormous diaper bags. Except, one day it won’t be just a day. One day, they’ll be slinging their backpacks over their shoulders and marching into kindergarten and these days will have silently disappeared. One day they’ll be practicing spelling words and getting ready for soccer practice hanging Justin Bieber posters on their walls. So, this day – this day that *seems* like any other day – is a really, really special day.

I have a soft spot in my heart for spring. Longer days, warmer weather, tiny green leaves sprouting on branches. It’s a comforting feeling to know we’ve survived another winter. Baseball is one of my harbingers of spring. A beacon in the cold, bleak days of March Madness. Jon David signed up for T-Ball this year and they started practicing last week. We had an unseasonably warm evening with beautiful light and it did my heart good to capture these images of a boy and his first t-ball team. I think he’s a natural. Oh, and now I’m officially ready for spring!
Ohhhh…I’d kind of forgotten the excitement in the air right before the arrival of your new baby. It hasn’t been THAT long, really, but these two made me remember how special those few months really are in your life (don’t worry, Gigi, I’m not getting any ideas 
) The wonder and anticipation of changing your family forever. It’s pretty amazing.
